What exact homework assignments and operational milestones must our leadership team complete between Focus Day, Vision Building 1, and Vision Building 2?
The first thirty to sixty days of an EOS rollout require specific operational milestones between each session. We purposely schedule thirty days between Focus Day, Vision Building 1, and Vision Building 2 so your team can practice using each tool before learning the next.
Between Focus Day and Vision Building 1, your team has four primary assignments:
- Finalize and publish your leadership Accountability Chart so reporting lines and five primary roles per seat are crystal clear.
- Launch and run your weekly Level 10 Meeting with full fidelity to the ninety-minute agenda, starting and ending on time every single week.
- Track your initial leadership Scorecard weekly with five to fifteen operational measurables.
- Begin executing your first set of ninety-day Rocks and resolving roadblocks using IDS.
Between Vision Building 1 and Vision Building 2, the homework shifts toward vision alignment. Each leader must review the draft of the first four questions of the Vision/Traction Organizer, known as the V/TO: Core Values, Core Focus, 10-Year Target, and Marketing Strategy. Leaders must pressure-test these answers with their teams, collect real-world feedback, and prepare candidate issues for the three-year picture.
If your team shows up to Vision Building 2 without having run weekly Level 10 Meetings or without testing your draft values against current staff, we do not move forward. You must build operational muscle in real time.
