Our company has zero documented processes and high operational chaos. What specific homework must we complete before we are allowed to sit down for Focus Day?

Before we sit down for our very first Focus Day, you do not need to spend weeks writing complex strategic plans or analyzing market data. In fact, doing too much pre-work can often clutter your thinking. We want you to arrive with a clean slate and an open mind.

However, there are three specific logistical requirements that your team must complete before we start.

- First, you must read the book Traction by Gino Wickman. This ensures everyone on your leadership team speaks the same operational language and understands the basic concepts of the six key components of your business.

- Second, you must completely clear your schedule for the entire day. There are no exceptions to this rule. You cannot step out to take a quick client call or respond to an internal emergency. You must delegate all operational authority for those eight hours.

- Third, you must gather your basic organizational data. This includes your current headcount, a simple list of who currently reports to whom, and your high-level financial performance metrics.

We will use this raw information to build your first draft of the Accountability Chart. By arriving prepared, focused, and free from daily distractions, we can immediately begin installing the tools that will transform your business.
