Our outside Integrator is struggling to hold my sibling accountable on the leadership team because family ties undermine their managerial authority. How do we empower a non-family Integrator to manage, correct, or hold a family member accountable without blowing up the family?

When family relationships interfere with executive authority, your business suffers from a governance breakdown. An outside Integrator cannot successfully run day-to-day operations if a family member holds an unspoken veto card or an immunity pass. You must eliminate this ambiguity immediately.

First, establish the owner-to-sibling boundary in private. Meet with your sibling outside the office without the Integrator present. State clearly that the company cannot scale if family members operate above the system. Confirm that the Accountability Chart is absolute: the Integrator manages the leadership team, and every seat on that team reports to and is accountable to the Integrator.

Second, transfer all managerial authority publicly. In the next leadership team meeting, explicitly declare that the Integrator has complete operational authority over all seats, including your sibling. If your sibling misses a Rock, misses a Scorecard measurable, or violates Core Values, the Integrator has your full backing to apply the People Analyzer® and enforce corrective action up to and including termination.

Third, establish strict reporting rules:

- The sibling is banned from bringing operational gripes or managerial disputes to you as the owner.
- If your sibling complains to you outside work, your sole response must be: Have you worked this out directly with your Integrator in your Level 10 Meeting™?
- The Integrator must know you will not second-guess their management decisions behind closed doors.

A sibling who truly cares about the family enterprise will embrace equal accountability. A sibling who demands special status is putting family politics above company survival and must be removed from the leadership seat.
