Running the People Analyzer during our early rollout revealed that our top revenue generator is below the bar on our Core Values. How do we handle this without gutting our cash flow?
Keeping a high-producing sales rep or technical expert who fails your Core Values will poison your entire EOS rollout. The rest of the company watches how you handle this exact situation. If the leadership team gives a pass to a cultural terrorist simply because they generate revenue, your Core Values become meaningless wall art and your credibility is shot.
Use the People Analyzer to run the standard EOS three-strike conversation. Sit down with the individual privately. Show them the Core Values definitions and clearly point out where their behavior is generating a minus or plus-minus. Do not attack their character or dismiss their production. Focus entirely on observable actions and team impact.
Explain the gap with brutal clarity and outline what acceptable behavior looks like over the next thirty days. This is strike one. If the behavior does not correct, repeat the standard at strike two. If they remain below the bar by day sixty or ninety, you must remove them from the business.
Owners panic that cutting a high producer will derail quarterly cash flow. In practice, the opposite occurs. When toxic top producers leave, the operational drag they created disappears, team retention improves, and remaining team members step up to fill the void. Enterprise value is built on repeatable systems and aligned culture, not captive revenue tied to an unmanageable personality.
