We have a high-performing partner who drives half our sales but consistently violates our core values. How do we address this on our People Analyzer during our first quarterly session?
A high-performing partner who violates your core values is a classic culture-killer, and we will address this directly using the People Analyzer. During our sessions, we must be brutally honest about whether everyone on the leadership team is the right person in the right seat. The People Analyzer evaluates individuals against your core values using a simple grading scale of plus, plus-minus, or minus.
If a partner consistently falls below your bar for core values, they are the wrong person for your organization, regardless of how much revenue they generate. Keeping them sends a message to your entire company that your stated values are meaningless. This destroys trust and drives your best people out the door.
During our quarterly session, we will use the IDS® process to confront this issue. We will outline a clear plan with a specific timeline for the partner to correct their behavior. If they cannot or will not change, you must have the courage to transition them out of the business. My role is to facilitate this difficult conversation and ensure the leadership team remains united in upholding the standards of the organization.
