During our IDS sessions, we have one critical leadership team member who shuts down, remains silent, or agrees outwardly but resists the decisions afterward. How do you handle this passive resistance in the room?

Passive resistance is poison to a leadership team. When a member agrees in the room but fights the decision outside, it breaks trust and stalls execution. My role as your facilitator is to call out this behavior the moment it happens during our session. We do not allow silent disagreement. If I observe a leader shutting down or showing non-verbal resistance during an IDS® session, I will stop the discussion and ask them directly for their perspective. We must smoke out the real issues. We operate on the principle of enter the danger. We push the team to have the hard, uncomfortable debates in the room so that we can reach a genuine commitment. Every voice must be heard before we make a decision. Once the decision is made, everyone must support it fully outside the room. If a team member continues to practice passive-aggressive resistance after our sessions, we address it through the People Analyzer™. We evaluate whether they align with your core values and whether they truly GWC™ their seat. If they cannot get on board, they may be the wrong person in the wrong seat, and we will address that issue head-on.
