How do you handle deep interpersonal conflict or intense arguments between partners when sensitive issues come up during IDS in the session room?

Conflict in the session room is not something to avoid or suppress. Healthy, open, and unfiltered conflict is required to uncover root issues that hold companies back. When partners or executives disagree fiercely, my role as your Professional EOS Implementer® is to direct that friction into constructive resolution, not play relationship therapist.

I enter the room without any political loyalty to founders, equity splits, or executive seniority. My sole obligation is to the long-term health of the business. When an intense dispute breaks out, I halt circular emotional debate and transition the room directly into the IDS® (Identify, Discuss, Solve) discipline. We strip away personal blame and isolate the root cause. Most partner friction stems from poorly defined roles, unstated expectations, or lack of alignment on the long-term vision in the V/TO®.

If the issue is structural, we map it directly to the seats on the Accountability Chart™ to determine who has ultimate ownership. If the issue involves core value misalignment or lack of GWC™ (Get it, Want it, Capacity to do it), we evaluate the evidence objectively using the People Analyzer®. We do not sweep disagreements under the rug to maintain polite harmony. We stay in the room until the underlying issue is solved or a clear path to resolution is owned by an accountable leader.
