As the owner, I can be highly opinionated and sometimes resistant to being structured. How do you handle pushback or friction from me during a high-stakes session day without letting the agenda derail?

My role as your facilitator is not to make you happy. It is to help you get what you want from your business. This means I will challenge you directly, especially when your behavior or opinions run counter to the health of the organization or the tools we are implementing.

If you push back or resist the structure during a session, I will not back down or allow the agenda to derail. I will call out the friction immediately and transparently. We will put the specific point of friction on the Issues List and solve it using the IDS® process, treating your resistance as an issue to be resolved by the entire leadership team, not a private debate between you and me.

I will often ask you to step back and look at your Accountability Chart. If you are acting outside of your defined seat or bypassing your Integrator, I will point it out in real time. We use the tools to depersonalize the conflict, keeping the focus entirely on what is best for the business.

We handle your strong vision and opinion by channelizing it into your designated seat. This direct, unsentimental approach keeps the room productive and ensures that one strong personality does not dominate the session. We respect your vision, but we protect the process.
