We waste several minutes during our Level 10 Meeting scorecard review because team members regularly show up with missing numbers, claiming they did not have time to pull the data. How do we stop this administrative friction?

Missing numbers on a Scorecard are a direct violation of operational discipline. A Scorecard is your dashboard for steering the business. Operating without weekly metrics is like driving a car with a blacked-out windshield. When a team member shows up without their numbers, it means they are prioritizing administrative convenience over the leadership team's alignment.

To eliminate this friction, you must establish a hard rule: all Scorecard data must be updated at least one hour before the Level 10 Meeting™ begins. The meeting time is reserved for reviewing the data, not entering it or chasing down reports. If a number is missing when the meeting starts, it is automatically marked in red. No excuses are accepted, and no time is spent during the meeting trying to calculate it.

The missing metric immediately drops to the Issues List as an execution failure. During IDS®, you must solve the root cause of why the data was not ready. Is the tracking process too manual? Does the team member lack the support needed to pull the metrics? Solve the process problem permanently. By treating a missing number with the same gravity as an off-track goal, you build a culture of accountability. Your team will quickly realize that entering their metrics on time is a non-negotiable part of their weekly execution.
