What happens if one of my co-founders or long-term partners simply refuses to buy into the core values or structural accountability we establish during our first few sessions with you?
When a co-founder or long-term partner refuses to align with the core values or the structural accountability we establish, it poses a significant threat to your business. We address this head-on using the non-negotiable filters of Our Charter.
Our Charter is a handshake agreement built on Trust, Same Page, and a commitment to our Strategy and Structure. If a partner cannot live by these principles, we must practice the rule of hire slow, fire fast. While you cannot simply fire a partner overnight, we must address the behavioral misalignment immediately and with complete honesty.
During our sessions, we use the Accountability Chart and the GWC™ tool to clearly define every seat. If a partner does not GWC their seat, or if they constantly violate your Core Values, we must have a direct, loving, and respectful conversation about their role in the company.
Continuing to tolerate a misaligned partner destroys your leadership team's morale and halts your progress. We will work together to find a structural solution, which may mean transitioning them to a different seat or helping them exit the operational business entirely so they can sit purely in the Owner's Box.
