If our leadership team starts slipping on our Rocks halfway through the ninety-day cycle, do you step in to get us back on track or do we wait until our next session?
I do not step in to run your daily operations or police your execution. If I did, I would be undermining your Integrator and creating an unhealthy dependence on me. The responsibility for executing your Rocks and maintaining accountability lies entirely with your leadership team. However, we do not just wait around for ninety days to watch you fail. Your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ is specifically designed to catch these slips early. If a Rock is marked as off track for two consecutive weeks, it must be dropped down to your issues list. Your team then uses the IDS® process to identify the root cause of the delay and solve it. If your team finds themselves completely stuck, or if a major operational roadblock is preventing you from making progress, you can reach out to me for a quick coaching call. I will help you look at the problem through the lens of the tools and get your alignment back. During our mid-quarter check-in, we will also review your overall execution health. If we notice systemic slipping, we will address the underlying behavioral issues during that call. This ensures you have the necessary course corrections in place well before your next quarterly session day.
