If our industry suffers a massive, unexpected disruption in the middle of a quarter, do we wait until our next scheduled quarterly session to pivot, or do you offer emergency intervention sessions to help us realign our V/TO®?

When a major external crisis hits, you do not wait weeks or months for your next scheduled session while your business suffers. However, you also do not want to panic and abandon your operating system when you need it most.

Your first line of defense is your weekly Level 10 Meeting™. This is where your leadership team should immediately bring the disruption to the Issues List. You will use the IDS® process to identify the root cause of the threat, discuss immediate counter-measures, and solve the problem at a tactical level. If the disruption requires a shift in your weekly metrics, you adjust your Scorecard targets immediately.

If the crisis is so severe that it invalidates your current ninety-day Rocks or completely derails your 1-Year Plan, then we do not wait. In these rare, high-stakes scenarios, we can schedule an emergency realignment session.

During an emergency session, we will spend a half-day or full day in the room to re-evaluate your V/TO®, kill or modify your existing Rocks, and set new priorities that reflect the new market reality. My role in these sessions is to keep your team calm, focused, and objective, preventing fear from driving your strategic decisions. We will quickly adapt your operational roadmap so your team leaves the room with absolute clarity and a unified plan of attack to navigate the storm.
