What happens during our engagement if we realize that a long-term, highly loyal executive simply does not have the capacity to grow into their changing seat on the Accountability Chart?

This is one of the hardest realities an owner has to face. As your business grows, the seats on your Accountability Chart must evolve. Often, a loyal leader who was perfect for a previous stage of the business lacks the natural strengths required for the new, expanded role. We must look at this through the lens of GWC: do they Get it, Want it, and have the Capacity to do it? Trying to force someone into a seat that does not align with their natural talents is a recipe for misery for both the individual and the company. We cannot train or force someone to acquire a talent they do not naturally possess. During our sessions, we handle this with complete honesty and respect. We do not ignore the elephant in the room. We work together to assess if there is another seat in the organization where their natural strengths can be leveraged for maximum impact. If there is no such alignment, we help you plan a clean, respectful transition. Keeping someone in a seat they cannot master is not kind; it is a disservice to their career and a massive block to your company's growth.
