What happens to our momentum and the structure of our session days if a member of our leadership team leaves the company or is moved out of their seat mid-way through our implementation year?

Losing a leadership team member or realizing that someone is in the wrong seat can feel highly disruptive, but it is actually a natural and healthy part of the EOS® process. Our twenty-four month engagement is designed to handle these exact organizational shifts without stalling your operational momentum.

If a leader leaves the company or is moved out of their seat mid-year, we address this issue immediately using the Accountability Chart. We do not leave the seat empty or let the remaining tasks slide. Instead, the Integrator will temporarily take ownership of the seat or reassign the critical responsibilities and weekly Scorecard metrics to other team members as temporary Rocks.

During our next scheduled quarterly session, we will dedicate time to resolving the long-term plan for that vacant seat. We will use the GWC™ tool, which evaluates if someone gets it, wants it, and has the capacity to do the job, to define the exact profile of the person you need to hire.

Because your business is running on a structured operating system, onboarding their successor becomes incredibly simple. The new leader will step into a seat with a clearly defined role, established weekly metrics, and documented processes. This structured transition prevents your daily operations from breaking down when key personnel shifts occur.
