What happens during a quarterly session if my leadership team reaches a complete standstill on a vital strategic decision and the IDS process fails to produce a clear consensus?
It is entirely normal for a leadership team to reach a stalemate on critical issues during our session days. When the IDS® process seems to stall and your team is locked in disagreement, my role as your professional facilitator is to guide you through the impasse without taking sides. I do not make decisions for your business, nor do I let the loudest voice in the room win by default. Instead, I force the team back to your core foundations. We look at your V/TO® to see if the decision aligns with your long-term vision and target market. We look at your Accountability Chart to ensure we are respecting the boundaries of each seat. If the team remains split after a healthy, open debate, we rely on the defined authority of your operating system. Every seat on your Accountability Chart has a designated owner, and the Integrator ultimately holds the final decision-making authority for daily execution. I facilitate the conversation so that everyone is heard, but once a decision is made by the designated leader, the entire team must align, support the decision, and execute it with absolute unity.
