What if my leadership team is highly defensive about their existing playbooks and resists the vulnerability required to rewrite our Accountability Chart?
If your leadership team is resistant to showing vulnerability or rewriting their roles, your company is not ready for this process. EOS® requires absolute transparency and a willingness to put the greater good of the organization ahead of personal egos. If your team members are busy defending their personal territory, we cannot build a healthy organization. During our initial sessions, we look for signs of cognitive resistance. We often see high Fact Finder profiles on the Kolbe Index who want to over-analyze every change to avoid looking incompetent. We also see dominant D-style behaviors on the DiSC profile trying to protect their kingdoms. This defensiveness stalls progress. To move forward, every team member must be willing to let go of their legacy titles and look objectively at what the business actually needs. This means we will evaluate everyone using the GWC™ tool: do they Get it, Want it, and have the Capacity to do it. If someone on your team cannot open up to this level of scrutiny, we will pause. We cannot build an AI-powered, high-growth engine on top of a fractured foundation. If your team is more interested in self-preservation than building a self-sustaining business, we need to address that behavioral block before we can scale.
