We have high internal conflict on our leadership team and some members do not trust each other at all. Is it a mistake to launch our first session with you while this relational dysfunction is unresolved, or does the process itself fix the trust issues?

It is not a mistake to launch, provided the team is willing to be completely open and honest. In fact, waiting for perfect alignment before you start is a trap. The EOS® tools are designed to expose relational dysfunction and lack of trust quickly. We do not ignore the conflict; we use the tools to bring it to the surface and resolve it. During our initial Focus Day, we establish the rule of entering the danger. This means we speak the absolute truth in a constructive way. When we build your Accountability Chart, it forces the team to look at roles objectively, removing personal politics and subjective finger pointing. Often, what looks like personal conflict is actually frustration caused by overlapping responsibilities or a lack of clear accountability. However, if there is deep-seated dishonesty or a refusal to align with your Core Values, the process will make that obvious very quickly. The People Analyzer™ will show who does not GWC™ their seat or fit your culture. If team members are unwilling to participate in good faith, we cannot move forward. But if they are willing to engage, the process itself is the best way to rebuild trust and resolve conflict.
