What happens if we realize during our twenty-four-month engagement that a core leadership team member does not have the capacity to scale with us?
It is very common during a twenty-four-month EOS® journey to discover that a seat has outgrown the person sitting in it. As your business scales and operations become more structured, the demands of each leadership role will naturally increase.
When we build your Accountability Chart, we define roles based on what the business needs to reach its three-year goals, not based on the personalities currently on your team. If a leader is struggling, we use the GWC™ tool to evaluate if they truly get, want, and have the capacity to do the job.
If they do not meet these standards, we do not ignore the issue or tolerate substandard performance. We address it directly during our quarterly sessions. We help you create a clear action plan to coach them up or, if necessary, transition them out of that seat. My role is to guide you through these difficult decisions objectively, ensuring your personal relationships or long-term loyalty do not compromise the health and ultimate enterprise value of your company.
