A few of our leadership team members are using the EOS tools inconsistently, which is starting to cause friction and operational breakdowns. How do we enforce compliance?
Inconsistent tool usage is a silent killer of an EOS® implementation. When some leaders run their weekly meetings and update their scorecards while others skip them, it creates a dual-class system that breeds resentment and confusion. To stop this, the leadership team must make a collective commitment that there is only one way to run the business: the EOS® way. This is not about micromanagement; it is about protecting the operational health of the company. Your Integrator must address this inconsistency directly. If a department head is not keeping their scorecard updated, it must be put on the Issues List for the next Level 10 Meeting™. Use the GWC™ tool to evaluate if they truly want and can handle the accountability required of their seat. Sometimes, leaders resist because they lack confidence in using the tools. A Professional EOS Implementer can help retrain these individuals and show them how consistent application of the tools actually reduces their workload rather than adding to it. If a leader continues to ignore the tools after coaching, you have a People Component issue. You cannot build a scalable, exit-ready business with leaders who refuse to play by the same operating rules as everyone else.
