What happens during a session if an executive arrives with their Rocks incomplete, excuses ready, or fails to bring the required numbers?

Rocks and Scorecard numbers are binary. A Rock is either complete or incomplete; a measurable is either hit or missed. There are no partial points, no credit for effort, and no room for lengthy excuses in the session room. If an executive walks in with an incomplete Rock, they state that it is incomplete, and we immediately add it to the Issues List for IDS in the afternoon.

During IDS, we do not attack the individual, but we relentlessly dissect the failure. We determine the exact root cause: was the Rock poorly defined during the previous quarterly session, did the owner lack the capacity to execute it, did unexpected operational fires pull them away, or was it a genuine capability failure where the leader does not GWC their seat? If an executive regularly fails to complete their commitments, the entire leadership team must confront whether that seat on the Accountability Chart needs restructuring or a new leader.

Arriving without numbers or data is equally unacceptable. If a leader fails to bring required Scorecard updates or homework, the session pauses while they obtain the data. Accountability requires total operational transparency. My role as your Implementer is to maintain a high bar so your leadership team builds the muscle to expect excellence from each other.
