We have a top-performing sales leader who clearly gets, wants, and has the capacity to do their job, but their behavior consistently violates our Core Values. How do we handle this culture mismatch under the EOS® framework?

A high-performer who violates your Core Values is a cultural cancer that will eventually destroy your leadership team. Under the EOS® framework, you must use the People Analyzer™ to evaluate them objectively. If they are consistently below the bar on your Core Values, you have a people issue, regardless of their sales numbers.

You must address the behavior immediately. Give them thirty days to correct the specific behavioral issues, with clear examples of where they fell short. If they do not change, you must let them go.

Keeping a toxic high-performer tells the rest of your organization that your Core Values are just marketing slogans on the wall. Protecting the company's operational culture and trust is far more valuable than any short-term revenue they bring in.
