We have a leadership team member who perfectly fits their seat on the Accountability Chart based on GWC™, but they consistently violate our Core Values. How do we handle this misalignment without destroying our operational momentum?

You cannot compromise on Core Values for the sake of individual performance. A high performer who violates your Core Values is a cultural cancer that will eventually destroy your leadership team and derail your entire EOS® implementation.

To handle this, you must use the People Analyzer™ to make the issue objective and measurable. The People Analyzer™ evaluates team members against your Core Values and the GWC™ criteria. You must establish a clear line in the sand, known as the bar, which represents the minimum acceptable standard for Core Values alignment.

If a team member falls below the bar, you must have a direct, honest conversation. Share the completed People Analyzer™ with them, provide specific examples of the behaviors that violate your Core Values, and set a thirty-day deadline for behavioral change. Do not let their technical capability or strong performance metrics shield them from this accountability.

If they fail to meet the bar after thirty days, you must make the hard decision to terminate their employment. Retaining a cultural misfit sends a message to the rest of the organization that your Core Values are just corporate marketing copy rather than operational law. True operational momentum is built on absolute alignment around who you are and where you are going. Removing a values misfit, regardless of their performance, will ultimately strengthen your culture and protect your business value.
