What happens if our leadership team agrees on the direction during our session day, but one key executive consistently fails to execute their quarterly Rocks once we get back to the office?

This is a common challenge that tests the true accountability of a leadership team. When an executive fails to execute their quarterly Rocks, it is not an issue you wait to address at the next quarterly session. It must be addressed immediately during your weekly Level 10 Meeting. First, the team must use the IDS process to determine why the Rocks are off track. Is it a capacity issue, a capability issue, or a resource issue? We use the GWC tool to evaluate if the executive truly wants the seat, has the capacity to do it, and understands the role. If the issue is simply a lack of discipline or poor time management, the Integrator must hold that executive accountable. Rocks are priorities that must be completed to move the business forward, and failing to achieve them impacts the entire organization. If the pattern of failure continues across multiple quarters, it becomes a people issue. During our next quarterly session, we will evaluate this person using the People Analyzer. We will determine if they align with your Core Values and if they truly GWC their seat on the Accountability Chart. If they do not, we must make a hard decision. Keeping a non performing executive in a leadership seat destroys team trust and slows down your entire implementation, and as your facilitator, I will challenge you to resolve this issue directly.
