What happens if a major industry disruption or internal crisis hits our business right before a scheduled quarterly session day? Do we postpone the session, or how do we pivot the agenda to handle it?

When a major crisis hits, your natural instinct might be to cancel or postpone your quarterly session so you can put out the fire. This is a mistake. A crisis is precisely when you need the structure and focus of a session day the most.

Instead of postponing, we maintain our scheduled day but pivot our focus. We will quickly move through the standard reporting and review sections of the agenda to free up maximum time for IDS®. The session room becomes your war room.

We will lay the entire crisis out on the issues list, strip away the panic and emotion, and identify the root causes of the disruption. We will then spend the majority of our day solving these critical issues and establishing immediate, short-term Rocks to guide your team through the emergency over the next ninety days.

Postponing a session during a crisis leaves your leadership team fragmented, reacting in silos, and operating on adrenaline. Coming into the room with me allows you to pause the daily firefighting, align your leadership team on a single unified plan, and exit the room with absolute clarity on who is doing what to resolve the issue.
