Between our quarterly sessions, how does my leadership team handle conflicts or drift in our weekly meetings without dragging you in as an ad-hoc mediator?
Your Level 10 Meeting™ is designed to be your self-correcting mechanism. When conflicts arise, or when team members start drifting from their commitments, you do not need an external referee. You have the tools to handle this yourselves. The key is to run a tight, disciplined weekly pulse where you actively identify, discuss, and solve issues using the IDS® process.
If a conflict starts stalling your progress, it belongs on your weekly Issues List. Do not let it fester until our next quarterly session. Put it on the list, run the IDS® process, and resolve it. Your Integrator is the orchestrator of this process and must hold the team accountable to the decisions made in the room.
My role between sessions is not to act as a daily referee. I am here to teach you how to resolve these issues internally. If you run into a complete deadlock that threatens your quarterly Rocks, your Integrator should reach out to me for quick guidance. However, the goal is always to build your team's muscle for healthy conflict. By the time you return for your next quarterly session, I expect to see that you have tackled the hard conversations head-on, allowing us to focus our session day on strategic planning rather than patching up weekly operational cracks.
