One of our leaders consistently rates our Level 10 Meeting a 10 every single week, but remains visibly checked out and never offers feedback. How do we hold them accountable to rating the meeting honestly?

A constant, unthinking score of 10 is not praise. It is passive-aggressive disengagement or laziness. In a healthy Level 10 Meeting™, a true 10 means the meeting started on time, ended on time, followed the exact agenda, tackled the toughest issues through IDS®, and resulted in absolute team alignment. Perfection every week is statistically impossible.

When a team member gives an automatic 10 without commentary while displaying low energy or minimal participation, the Integrator must call it out on the spot during the Conclude section. Ask them directly: What specifically occurred today that made this session flawless? Which solved issue created the most value for your seat?

If the leader cannot provide concrete evidence of why the meeting earned a 10, the Integrator should challenge the score and require them to identify at least one area of operational waste. The rating exercise is an operational diagnostic tool, not a compliment box. When a leader refuses to evaluate the process critically, they are signaling that they do not care about the health of the leadership team or the efficiency of the business.

If the pattern persists across two or three consecutive weeks, the Integrator must take that individual into a Same Page meeting. Treat continuous unthinking 10s as a GWC™ issue. If an executive does not understand the purpose of the meeting rating, does not care enough to analyze meeting quality, or lacks the capacity for radical candor, they are failing to lead their seat.
