Your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ is designed to keep your team focused on execution, not to serve as a brainstorming session for new technology. When discussions about the latest AI releases derail your agenda, it is a sign of weak leadership discipline.

To protect your meeting rhythm, enforce a strict rule: a new AI tool cannot be raised as an issue during the IDS® portion of the meeting unless it directly relates to a failing Scorecard metric or an off-track Rock. If a department head wants to introduce a tool simply because it is interesting, it must be tabled.

If there is a legitimate operational bottleneck, use the IDS® process to identify the root cause first. Focus on the underlying process issue, not the software. Once you agree on the problem, look at your Accountability Chart to see who owns that seat. Empower that owner to research if AI can solve the issue outside of the meeting.

Shift your leadership behavior from reacting to every technological update to holding your team accountable for strategic outcomes. If their Rocks are on track and their Scorecard metrics are green, how they use AI to achieve those results is up to them.
