If our ultimate goal is an ownership transition, how do our quarterly sessions with you help us identify, groom, and test a successor to take over the Integrator or Visionary seat?
An effective ownership transition requires systematically transferring operational leadership from you to your successor. We use your quarterly sessions with me as a testing ground for this transition. Rather than making a sudden announcement, we use the Accountability Chart and our quarterly review cycle to manage the process smoothly.
First, we clearly define the roles of the Visionary and the Integrator. If you are currently occupying both seats, our primary objective is to find or elevate an Integrator to run daily operations. During our sessions, we clarify the GWC™ of this candidate to ensure they truly get, want, and have the capacity for the role.
Second, we use quarterly Rocks to transition specific responsibilities. We delegate your operational tasks to other leadership team members step by step. This allows us to observe how the team performs without you. If a successor struggles, we identify the gaps during our quarterly IDS® sessions and adjust our training plan.
By the end of our 24-month engagement, your successor will be fully running the weekly Level 10 Meeting™ sessions and leading the company's execution. This proves to potential buyers that your business is a self-sustaining asset, which significantly increases your valuation and guarantees a cleaner exit.
