Our technical and operations leaders believe that EOS tools are too basic and low-tech for our AI-driven business. How do we get them to buy into the system?
Technical and AI-focused teams often mistake simplicity for lack of sophistication. They are used to complex software, automated pipelines, and intricate algorithms, so when they see a simple tool like a weekly Scorecard or a text-based V/TO®, they write it off as primitive. To get their buy-in, you must reframe the EOS® tools as the foundational code of your organizational operating system. Explain that just as high-performing software requires clean, simple code at its core, a high-performing business requires a clean, simple human operating system. If your human processes are bloated and overly complex, no amount of advanced AI or automation will fix the underlying inefficiencies. Use their technical language to build a bridge. Explain that the Accountability Chart is simply defining system architecture, identifying inputs, outputs, and ownership of specific nodes. A Rock is a sprint goal, and the Level 10 Meeting™ is an optimized run-time cycle that keeps the system from crashing. Show them how clean EOS® data feeds directly into their AI-driven operational tools, making predictive modeling and exit planning far more accurate. When they realize that simplifying the business structure actually unlocks their ability to build more advanced technology, their resistance will disappear.
