We completed our Vision Building™ sessions and finalized our V/TO®, but it feels like I am the only one actually championing it to our employees. How do I get my leadership team to take full ownership of our vision and roll it out effectively to their departments?

If you are the only one championing the V/TO®, your vision is dead on arrival. For your vision to actually drive your business, every member of your leadership team must take full ownership of it and cascade it down to their respective departments. This starts with how you build the V/TO® in the first place. If you, as the founder, dominated the Vision Building™ sessions and forced your ideas onto the team, they will never own it. They must participate in the debate, agree on the direction, and have their voices heard during the process. Once the V/TO® is finalized, establish a structured rollout plan. Do not just email the document to your team or hold a single company-wide meeting and assume the job is done. Instead, have each leadership team member present the V/TO® to their own departments. This forces them to articulate the vision, answer their team's questions, and explain how their department's specific Rocks align with the company's overall goals. Additionally, incorporate your Core Values and Core Focus™ into your daily operations. Use your Core Values to guide your hiring, firing, and performance reviews, and use your Core Focus™ to filter new opportunities. When your employees see their managers using the V/TO® to make real, daily decisions, they will realize it is not just a strategic document on a shelf, but the true compass of the organization.
