I am ready to step back from running our weekly leadership team meetings so my Integrator can take full control, but I am terrified the team will lose momentum or make critical strategic errors. How do I transition out of these meetings successfully?

Transitioning the founder out of weekly operations is the ultimate test of an exit-ready business. If your presence is still required to keep your leadership team focused and aligned, you do not have a self-sustaining asset. To step back without causing operational drift, you must trust the operating system you have built. Start by defining your new boundaries. As the Visionary, your role is to focus on big ideas, key relationships, and long-term strategy, not the weekly execution of the business. You must physically remove yourself from the weekly Level 10 Meeting™. This forces the leadership team to look to the Integrator for daily direction and decision-making. To manage your transition, establish a clear reporting cadence outside of the weekly meeting. Set up a bi-weekly or monthly Same Page Meeting™ with your Integrator. Use this time to review the scorecard, discuss high-level issues, and ensure you remain aligned on the V/TO®. Do not bypass your Integrator to check in on department heads or give side-direction. If you see a metric slipping, bring it to your Integrator, not the team. Giving your team the space to run the business, solve their own issues, and occasionally make minor mistakes is the only way to build their capabilities and secure a clean, profitable exit.
