I am the founder and Visionary, and I want to step back from the Integrator role but my team is afraid the business will collapse without my daily involvement. How do we map this transition in our Accountability Chart during our session days?

It is common for a founder to play both the Visionary and Integrator roles in the early stages of a business. However, as the company scales and prepares for a future exit, this dual role becomes a bottleneck. To build enterprise value, we must systematically extract you from the daily operations.
During our sessions, we address this directly through the Accountability Chart. We map out the distinct roles of the Visionary and the Integrator. This process usually brings up fear, both for the founder who is afraid of losing control and for the leadership team who is accustomed to the founder solving every problem. We use the GWC™ tool to objectively assess who is truly the best fit for the Integrator seat.
If you do not GWC the Integrator seat, or if playing that role prevents you from focusing on your true strengths as a Visionary, we build a transition plan. This is not done overnight. We set quarterly Rocks to slowly shift daily operational responsibilities from you to your team. We use the weekly Level 10 Meeting™ and your scorecard metrics to build the team's confidence in running the business without your constant oversight. This structured transition builds a highly valuable, self-sustaining company that a buyer will actually pay a premium to acquire.
