As the founder, I have a strong personality and am used to driving every decision. How do I need to behave during our session days to get the most out of my leadership team?

To get the most out of this process, you must learn to step back and let your leadership team step up. If you dominate every discussion and solve every problem, your team will remain passive and dependent on you.

During our sessions, I will ask you to practice the Strategic Pause. This means pausing, listening, and letting your team speak first. You must create the space for others to take ownership of the issues and propose solutions. This can be highly uncomfortable for a visionary founder who is used to driving by sheer force of will, but it is necessary for growth.

We will use conative profiles like the Kolbe A Index to help you understand how your team naturally solves problems. You will see that they have different, highly effective ways of working that might not match your own.

Your role in the room is to be open, honest, and supportive of the process. You must show your team that you trust the Accountability Chart we have built. When you step back, you give your executive team the room they need to grow into true leaders who can run the business without your constant intervention.
