Our Accountability Chart has been built, but as the founder, I find myself constantly bypassing the Integrator to solve problems directly with department heads. How do we break this habit so the Accountability Chart actually functions as our operational structure?

Bypassing your Integrator is a fast way to destroy the authority of your leadership team and create massive confusion throughout your organization. When you go around the Integrator to direct department heads, you are teaching your team that the Accountability Chart does not actually matter and that you are still the source of all daily decisions. To break this habit, you must commit to the Same Page Meeting™ discipline. You and your Integrator must meet weekly to stay aligned on strategy, issues, and operational boundaries. Use this time to air disagreements and get on the same page in private, so you present a united front to the rest of the business. When a department head approaches you with an operational issue, you must refuse to solve it. Instead, ask them if they have discussed it with the Integrator or put it on their Level 10 Meeting™ Issues List. This requires intense personal discipline from the founder, but it is the only way to build a self-sustaining business that does not depend on you for every minor decision. Trust your Integrator to run the day-to-day operations so you can focus on your true Visionary role.
