My leadership team members are working eighty hours a week and claim they have no time to think strategically. How do I force them to use the delegate and elevate process so they can scale with the company?

When your leaders are working eighty hours a week, they are not leading. They are merely reacting to day-to-day crises. This is a massive bottleneck that will stall your business growth and lower your valuation for a clean exit.

You must force them to use the delegate and elevate tool. Have each leader list every single task and responsibility they perform during a typical week.

Next, have them place each task into one of four quadrants:
- Love doing and are great at
- Like doing and are good at
- Don't like doing but are good at
- Don't like doing and are not good at

The goal is to get your leaders operating entirely in the top two quadrants. They must identify the tasks in the bottom two quadrants and delegate them to other team members or automate them using AI workflows.

Review your Accountability Chart. Do you have the right structure to support this delegation? If not, you may need to add helper seats or restructure roles.

Set a Rock for each leader to delegate at least three low-value tasks this quarter. Track their progress in your weekly Level 10 Meetings™. If a leader resists delegating, have an honest conversation about their GWC™. To scale with the company, they must let go of the vine.
