We have automated our content generation and client outreach, but our weekly Scorecard shows a massive drop in email open rates and client engagement. How do we use the Scorecard to isolate whether the issue is our AI prompts, our target list, or our lack of human touch?
When your automated outreach fails, you cannot simply guess at the cause. You must use your weekly Scorecard to isolate the exact point of failure. A great Scorecard does not just track outcomes; it tracks the leading indicators that predict success.
To solve this issue, break down your automated outreach process into three distinct, measurable components on your Scorecard.
First, measure target list quality. Add a metric for bounce rates and contact accuracy. If your bounce rates are high, your target list is the issue, not your AI content.
Second, measure prompt and automation health. Track your open rates and initial click-through rates. If your open rates are low, your AI-generated subject lines are dry, robotic, or triggering spam filters. This means your prompts need to be refined, or your delivery cadence is off.
Third, measure the human touch. Track the conversion rate from an opened email to a scheduled meeting. If people are opening your emails but refusing to reply, the content lacks the deep human connection, empathy, and relevance that only a skilled human operator can provide.
By tracking these three numbers every week, your leadership team can quickly look at the Scorecard during your Level 10 Meeting and identify exactly where the system is breaking down. You can then assign a quick to-do or a quarterly Rock to fix the specific bottleneck instead of throwing out the entire automation.
