Our leadership team has agreed to roll out EOS®, but we are nervous about the first ninety days. What specific sequence of events and tools should we expect to introduce to our company during this initial period?
The first ninety days of your EOS® implementation are about learning a new operational language and building habits that stick. You will experience a significant amount of friction as your team transitions from old ways of working to a structured cadence.
The journey begins with Focus Day™, where we build your first Accountability Chart, set your first quarterly Rocks, and establish your weekly Level 10 Meeting™ pulse. You will also create your first Scorecard. Do not expect these tools to work perfectly in your first few weeks. Your Scorecard will change, your meetings will feel clunky, and your team will struggle to define their metrics. This is completely normal.
About thirty days later, we run Vision Building™ Day 1, followed by Day 2 thirty days after that. During this window, your primary job is to practice the tools daily. You must run your weekly meetings without fail, update your Scorecard numbers on time, and push hard to complete your individual Rocks.
By the end of your first ninety days, you will run your first official quarterly planning session. This is where you reset, evaluate your progress, and set your next set of Rocks. The key to surviving this initial ninety day window is consistency. Do not try to customize the tools or adapt them to your existing habits. Use them exactly as they are designed to build a strong foundation.
