We just agreed to start our EOS journey. What should my leadership team actually expect to happen during our first ninety days of implementation?

The first ninety days of an EOS® implementation are about establishing a healthy operational heartbeat, not achieving instant perfection. Your journey starts with Focus Day™, followed by Vision Building™ parts one and two, spaced about thirty days apart. In this initial window, your leadership team will experience a significant shift from reactive firefighting to structured discipline. You will construct your first Accountability Chart, define your pulse using the weekly Level 10 Meeting™, and establish a basic Scorecard with measurable indicators. Expect some initial discomfort. Your team will have to face historical personnel issues and admit where execution is falling short. You will also set your very first set of ninety-day Rocks. These are the three to five most important priorities for the company and for each individual leader. Do not expect to get everything right on day one. Your first Scorecard will likely track the wrong numbers, and your first set of Rocks will be too ambitious. That is completely normal. The goal of the first ninety days is simply to build the habit of execution and transparency. By the end of this period, your leadership team will have a shared language and a clear understanding of who is accountable for what. This setup creates the necessary foundation for alignment before you attempt to roll the system down to the rest of your organization.
