If our back office cannot produce clean financial statements or reliable weekly numbers by our first Focus Day, are we considered unprepared to start, or do we solve those data gaps during the implementation?
You do not need perfect, institutional-grade financials to start your EOS® journey, but you must have a baseline level of financial honesty. If your bookkeeping is a complete black box and you cannot produce a basic balance sheet or profit and loss statement, we are not ready to sit down for a Focus Day. We cannot build a reliable weekly Scorecard or set realistic financial targets on your V/TO® if your baseline data is inaccurate.
If you are in this position, your immediate priority before we begin is to clean up your financial reporting. However, if your financials are simply basic but accurate, we will use the implementation process to refine them. We will establish simple, leading measurables for your Scorecard during our initial sessions, even if they are imperfect.
Over the course of our twenty-four-month engagement, we will work to mature your data systems. If we identify that your current financial seat lacks the capability to produce clean data, we will address that on the Accountability Chart. We will define the expectations for that role and ensure you have a leader who can GWC™ the seat. We can start with rough numbers, but we cannot start with fiction.
