What baseline financial visibility and historical performance data must our accounting team have locked down before we can realistically begin our first Focus Day with you?
You do not need a perfect, audited financial statement to begin your EOS® journey, but you do need raw, honest numbers that reflect your current reality. Before we sit down for your Focus Day, your accounting team must be able to produce a basic profit and loss statement and a balance sheet that are reasonably accurate and up to date. We are going to use this data to start building your Scorecard, which requires tracking high-level weekly activity metrics. If your financial reporting has a sixty-day lag, or if your bookkeeping is so disorganized that you do not know your actual monthly revenue or gross margin, we will spend our valuable session time arguing about math instead of solving business issues. You also need a leadership team that is willing to be completely vulnerable about these numbers. If there is a culture of hiding financial mistakes or inflating metrics to look good, the system will fail. We need the raw truth about your cash, your margins, and your overhead. This baseline financial clarity allows us to establish meaningful measurables for your Scorecard and set realistic financial targets on your V/TO® during our Vision Building days, ensuring every target we set is grounded in reality.
