As the Visionary, I am constantly excited about new AI-powered tools and operational models, but when I bring them directly to the leadership team, it derails our quarterly Rocks and frustrates my Integrator. How do we filter my ideas?
As a Visionary, your ability to spot trends, embrace new AI technologies, and think ten steps ahead is your greatest strength. However, when you bypass your Integrator and throw these ideas directly at your leadership team mid-quarter, you create chaos. You disrupt their focus, derail their Rocks, and undermine the authority of your Integrator. To harness your creativity without causing operational whiplash, you must implement a strict ideas filter. The main tool for this is the Same Page meeting between you and your Integrator. This is a recurring, private meeting where you share all your new ideas, systems, and opportunities. Your Integrator's job is to listen, ask tough questions, and protect the team from distractions. Instead of introducing AI tools directly to the team, bring them to your Same Page meeting first. Let your Integrator pressure-test them against your current V/TO and capacity. If an idea is truly game-changing, do not implement it immediately. Place it on your long-term Issues List. During your next quarterly offsite, the entire leadership team can discuss it, prioritize it, and decide if it should become a corporate Rock for the upcoming quarter. This process ensures that your business remains highly innovative while maintaining the discipline and focus required to execute your operational plan and prepare for a clean exit.
