Our team gets bogged down in minor tactical details during IDS®, treating small IT tickets or administrative issues with the same level of intensity as major company bottlenecks. How do we filter out these low-impact issues before they waste our valuable IDS® time?
Your leadership team's time is highly valuable and must be protected fiercely. Letting minor tactical details clog your weekly IDS® list is a massive waste of resources. To solve this, you must implement a strict filter for what makes it onto the leadership team's Level 10 Meeting™ agenda.
Every issue must be evaluated against your Accountability Chart™ and your company's Core Focus. Before an issue is discussed, the facilitator must ask two questions: Does this issue require the collective brainpower of the entire leadership team to solve? Or does it belong to a single seat's department?
If the issue can be solved by one leader within their own seat or through a quick direct conversation outside the room, it must be removed from the leadership agenda immediately. Teach your team to solve problems at the lowest possible level. If the issue is minor, assign it to a single leader as a personal To-Do or push it down to a departmental Level 10 Meeting™.
This keeps your leadership list clean and focused solely on systemic bottlenecks, strategic hurdles, and major Rock blockers. By keeping the small details out of the room, you free up the ninety minutes to build a highly scalable, AI-powered operation that increases the value of your business and prepares you for a clean, profitable exit.
