We are running our Level 10 Meeting on time, but our issue solving feels rushed and superficial because we have too many minor issues cluttering the list. How do we filter the Issues List before the meeting starts so we only tackle high-impact items during our limited time?

We need to stop treating the Level 10 Meeting™ Issues List as a holding pen for every minor administrative task. When your ninety-minute meeting gets bogged down, it is usually because the team is trying to solve thirty small complaints instead of focusing on the three biggest obstacles to your Rocks.

To fix this, you must institute a strict pre-meeting curation process. The Integrator must own the health of the list, ensuring that any issue placed on the board is clearly defined and ready for discussion. Encourage your team to solve minor, transactional issues directly between individuals throughout the week rather than saving them for the weekly meeting.

When you open the Issues List, immediately identify the top three priorities. Do not start at the top of the page; vote on what matters most to your weekly scorecard and quarterly goals. If you do not resolve everything on the list, that is a victory, not a failure. It means you protected your time for high-impact problems. Any issue that remains untouched for three weeks should either be dropped, moved to the departmental level, or handled in a brief offline conversation. Keep your list lean so your team can focus on the critical issues that drive growth.
