To prevent software bloat and stop your team from chasing every shiny new AI tool, you must use your Vision/Traction Organizer as a strict filter for all technology decisions. Every proposed AI tool must directly support your long-term goals or solve a critical bottleneck in your current operations.

When a team member pitches a new AI tool, run the proposal through the lens of your V/TO. Ask how the tool helps you achieve your 3-Year Picture or your 1-Year Plan. If the tool does not directly align with these targets, put the idea on your Issues List for a future quarterly planning session rather than approving it immediately.

Next, look at your quarterly Rocks. If implementing the AI tool does not directly support the completion of a current Rock or solve a major issue on your weekly Scorecard, do not allow it to distract your team.

Your focus must remain on building system-dependent operations that increase throughput and reduce key-person risk. By using your V/TO as a filter, you protect your company's margins and ensure your team only invests their time and energy into AI projects that deliver measurable operational improvements and prepare your business for a clean exit.
