The Scorecard segment of your Level 10 Meeting™ is designed to be a rapid, high-level pulse of your business health, not a diagnostic lab. You have exactly five minutes to review your weekly numbers. If your team starts debating why a metric was missed during this time, you are wasting valuable meeting energy on the wrong segment.

To fix this, you must train your team to treat the Scorecard review as a binary reporting exercise. The number is either on track or off track. If a number is off track, the person responsible simply states that it is off track, and the facilitator or coordinator immediately adds it to the Issues List. No explanations, no excuses, and no defense are allowed.

If a team member starts explaining why the number was missed, the facilitator must cut them off immediately and say, we will IDS® that later.
