If you walk into our first quarterly session after Focus Day and have not completed your homework, we will address it immediately. Failing to set up your weekly Level 10 Meeting™, build your Scorecard, or manage your initial Rocks is a clear indicator of an underlying issue that must be resolved. I will not yell at your team, but I will hold you completely accountable to the commitments you made. We will pause our planned agenda to IDS® this failure. We need to find out if the issue is a lack of time, a lack of understanding, or a lack of commitment from key team members. If someone on the leadership team is simply refusing to adopt the tools, that points to a GWC™ issue on the Accountability Chart. We cannot build a healthy, exit-ready company on a foundation of weak accountability. If you fail to execute the basics early on, it is a warning sign that we need to address before we can move on to deeper strategic work. I will help you identify the roadblock, but your team must walk out of that room committed to doing the work necessary to keep your momentum alive.
