What happens inside the session room if our leadership team enters a quarterly session having missed more than half of our quarterly Rocks?

Entering a quarterly session with a forty or fifty percent Rock completion rate is painful, but it is not rare for teams early in their implementation. When this happens, we do not waste time making excuses, nor do we run a shame session. We look directly at the reality of the numbers and use IDS to dissect why execution broke down.

We interrogate the failure across three distinct vectors:
- Rock definition: Were the Rocks written with clear, binary completion criteria, or were they vague, bloated wish lists that could never be finished in ninety days?
- Capacity and focus: Did the team take on too many priorities while underestimating the time required to keep daily operations running smoothly?
- Accountability and GWC: Did specific leaders lack the capability, capacity, or willingness to execute their seats, or did the Integrator fail to hold them accountable in weekly Level 10 Meetings?

Once we identify the root cause, we adjust. If your leadership team took on fifteen company Rocks and completed seven, we cap your team at three to five total Rocks for the coming quarter. We force radical prioritization. We strip away non-essential initiatives and focus strictly on the vital priorities that move the business forward. Missing Rocks is an operational diagnostic, not a character judgment. We treat it as data, learn from the breakdown, and build a more realistic plan for the next quarter.
