Our team is highly opinionated and prone to long-winded debates. How do you facilitate our session days with you to keep us focused on building the V/TO and setting Rocks without letting us spiral into endless discussion?

During our session days, my role is to act as a neutral, rigorous facilitator who protects your time and energy. I do not let sessions devolve into unstructured talking shops or endless debates about operational minutiae. Instead, we use the IDS® process to focus on root causes, not symptoms. If a discussion begins to spiral, I will step in and demand a strategic pause to recalibrate our focus. We run the day with pigheaded discipline, ensuring that every voice is heard but no single voice dominates.

To maintain this momentum, we adhere to a strict set of session dynamics:
- We call out rabbit holes immediately and park non-urgent issues on the Issues List.
- We demand absolute intellectual honesty, which means leaving personal egos at the door.
- We focus on defining the what and the who first, leaving the tactical how for your weekly execution.

By the end of a session day, your leadership team will have a clear, aligned set of quarterly Rocks and a completed V/TO® that everyone owns. This process is designed to turn debate into decisive action, giving your team the strategic white space required to think clearly about the business rather than just working in it. I do not run these sessions to make you comfortable; I run them to make you effective.
