Remote Level 10 Meetings™ require much tighter facilitation than in-person ones because you lose the natural physical cues that govern human conversation. When people cannot read body language, they either talk over each other or withdraw entirely, which ruins the flow of your weekly meeting pulse.

To solve this, your facilitator must run the meeting like a live broadcaster. Instead of throwing an issue out to the open room and waiting for someone to speak, the facilitator must actively direct traffic. They should call on specific leaders by name to speak next, such as saying, "Let us hear from sales first, then operations, then finance." This eliminates the awkward silence and prevents people from talking over one another.

Additionally, enforce a strict video-on policy and use a shared digital board to keep everyone focused on the same screen. Ensure every participant uses a high-quality microphone and has a reliable internet connection. Tech lag is a business killer. Finally, make sure everyone prepares their scorecard numbers and issues ahead of time so the meeting does not drag. By actively directing the conversation and maintaining a high tempo, you can keep the remote meeting pulse crisp, professional, and highly productive.
