What happens to our session momentum and implementation roadmap if a member of our executive team resigns or gets terminated midway through a quarter?
Executive turnover during an implementation is common and often signals that the system is working. When an operating system introduces absolute transparency, leaders who lack the capability or desire to execute at a high level either opt out or get exposed.
When a seat opens mid-quarter, your Integrator immediately steps in to stabilize that seat's responsibilities or redistributes their open Rocks and Scorecard measurables to other leaders in the weekly Level 10 Meeting™. You do not abandon the quarterly goals. You triage them: determine which Rocks are non-negotiable for company performance and drop or postpone the rest.
In our next quarterly session, we do not bypass the vacancy. We open the Accountability Chart immediately. We review the five core roles of the vacant seat, confirm that the seat structure is still correct, and evaluate interim coverage. We use GWC™ to assess whether an internal candidate is ready to step up or if an external executive search is required.
A leadership transition never pauses our session rhythm. In fact, running our quarterly session on schedule provides the remaining executives with the clarity and stability needed to manage the workload transition without burning out the team.
